Reserve Your AppointmentOver the bridge, not into the city.
From downtown Mission it is south on Highway 11, over the Mission Bridge, and a few minutes on to The Mark Building on South Fraser Way in Abbotsford. That is the whole trip to a private made-to-measure fitting, and it is a fraction of a day in Vancouver traffic. The room is booked for you alone, nobody works on commission, and your 21 measurements stay on file, so after the first visit a second suit is a short appointment to choose the cloth.

An outfit for your wedding and everything after it.
A wedding at the Fraser River Heritage Park or on a farm out toward Hatzic should not start with a rental counter. We build Mission grooms a wedding suit to their own measurements, or a tuxedo in any cloth for $75 more, and the suit stays in the closet for every wedding and event after.
Fittings are at our Abbotsford studio, just over the Mission Bridge. Around four months out is the easy pace for a wedding, though it is not a deadline. If your date is sooner, one phone call will tell you what is still possible.
A shirt cut for a working build.
Men who work with their hands usually have a bigger neck, shoulders and forearms than a shirt label allows for, so the collar will not close or the sleeves pull every time they reach. Custom dress shirts start at $199 and are cut to your neck, chest and each arm.
They are measured at the same appointment as your suit, and on a bigger order the first shirt is made and fitted before the rest.

One suit built right beats three that almost fit.
Too many Mission men end up in whatever fits closest at the mall. A made-to-measure suit from our Abbotsford studio is drafted from 21 of your own measurements, starting at $899 in a wool blend or $1,049 in a blend with stretch for men who are on their feet all day.
Your measurements stay on file, so after the first suit the next one is a short appointment to choose the cloth.
Alterations, and where we fit in.
We make suits and shirts to measure. We are not an alterations shop.

Your appointment is private and runs 45 to 90 minutes: a conversation about your work and build, then 21 measurements, then the design session. You leave with a written style profile within 24 hours. Wool blend suits start at $899, and you can price your build before you book.

Common questions.
How far is your studio from Mission?
Our Abbotsford studio at The Mark Building, 32615 South Fraser Way, is a short drive south over the Mission Bridge on Highway 11. Appointments are private and by appointment only, and the first appointment is complimentary.
Which parts of Mission do you serve?
All of them: downtown Mission, Hatzic, Dewdney, Cedar Valley, College Heights, Ferndale, West Heights, Silverdale, Stave Falls and Steelhead.
How much is a custom suit for Mission?
Suits start at $899 in a wool blend and $1,049 in a blend with stretch, with Super 120 at $1,299 and Super 150 at $1,699. The first appointment, shipping, and alterations on the suit in the first 30 days are included.
What happens if the fit needs adjusting?
When the suit arrives, we send a fitting form and reach out personally. Anything that needs adjusting in the first 30 days is handled by a local tailor at our cost, and your file is updated so the next suit starts from the corrected numbers.
How long does a custom suit take?
About six weeks from the order. If there is a wedding on the calendar, around four months out is the most relaxed, and sooner still works.
Do you make tuxedos and wedding suits for Mission grooms?
Yes. Wedding suits are built to your measurements, and any cloth can be made as a tuxedo for $75 more, with a tuxedo shirt in studs and French cuffs.
Do you make custom dress shirts?
Yes, from $199, cut to your neck, chest and each arm and measured at the same appointment as your suit.
Where is the best place to buy a men's suit near Mission?
It depends whether you want to buy a suit off a rack or have one built for you. Our Abbotsford studio, a short drive from Mission is private and by appointment, your 21 measurements are taken and kept on file, nobody works on commission, and the first appointment is complimentary. If you want the suit cut to your body instead of altered to fit, that is the difference.
Is Cardero a suit store or a tailor?
Neither, exactly. There is no shop floor and no rack to buy from, and we are not an alterations shop. We are a made-to-measure studio: your suit is cut from your own 21 measurements in the cloth you choose. Alterations after delivery are covered and handled by a trusted local tailor.
Do you dress athletic builds and big and tall men in Mission?
Yes, and it is the most common reason men come to us. Off-the-rack sizing assumes an average build, so a heavy chest, broad shoulders, or a longer torso ends up fighting the jacket. Cutting from 21 measurements solves that at the pattern stage instead of at the alterations bench.
