Your personal tailor, wherever you live.
We have dressed thousands of men since 2015, and plenty of them have never set foot in one of our studios. You measure yourself at home, Derek Burbidge, our owner and founder, and our team confirm your numbers before anything is cut, and your suit is built from scratch and shipped to your door. Across Canada and the United States, with duty and shipping included.
A Wardrobe Plan, and the plan is yours to keep.

“I measured myself at home and emailed the measurements. The fit was amazing and the quality was great, better than the chain stores for a much better price.” Lance
Four steps, and a tailor who knows you.
This is not a website that takes an order and sends you a box. It is the same process our studio clients get, run at a distance.
Build your plan with Derek
The Wardrobe Plan, if you want your build mapped first: a one-to-one session with our owner and founder Derek Burbidge. Your work, your build, what you already own, where the gaps are, and the cloth that suits you. You leave with a digital profile you keep: your colour palette, and what to build in what order.
You measure at home
Our form walks you through each measurement one at a time. You send it in with two photos, and that is all we ask of you.
Your measurements are checked first
Derek and our team look over your numbers against your two photos before your order goes into production. Nothing is cut on numbers nobody looked at, and if something is wildly off, we catch it and come back to you first.
Built, shipped, and adjusted if needed
Five to six weeks to make. Shipping and duty are on us. If anything needs adjusting when it lands, we cover it, and your measurements are updated on file so the next one is closer still.
Guided to what suits you, your needs and your build.
Order online and your suit is built to your measurements and shipped. If you would rather work out what you actually need before you order, the Wardrobe Plan is your option: forty-five minutes one to one with Derek Burbidge, owner and founder of Cardero Clothing, who has dressed thousands of men since 2015. Your colouring, your wardrobe, your work, and what to buy next in what order. You leave with a plan. Not every order comes with his time. This is how you get it.
He works through your wardrobe, your work, your build and your colouring, then guides you, based on your needs and your body shape, to what suits you, the order to build in, and the exact cloth that is right for you, so you are not guessing on the fabric that matters most or spending on the wrong thing. You keep the digital profile whether or not you ever order a garment from us.
- Your colour palette, matched to your complexion
- The gaps in what you own, and what to buy first
- A 12-month build order, with the reasoning behind each step
- The exact cloths that suit your colouring, your work and your build
$199 CAD. The plan is yours to keep and is not tied to an order.

You will not be measuring alone.
Fit is the whole thing. It is also the one part of buying at a distance that men are right to be careful about, so here is exactly how we handle it.
Checked by Derek and our team, not a machine
More than one suit? The first one proves the fit
Alterations and remakes are covered
Measured once, kept on file. Your 21 measurements are stored permanently, the same as they are for a client who walks into the studio. You measure yourself one time. Every order after that is a conversation about cloth, not a tape measure.

* Fabrics ordered online will vary slightly from what you see on screen. Monitors and phones render colour and texture differently, and fabric bolts change over time, so the cloth you receive may differ slightly in shade or weave from the photo. These natural variations are normal, not a defect. See our remakes and alterations policy.

Then you do not need a call.
If you are after a navy suit and a white shirt, buy it. Everything in the shop is built to your 21 measurements and shipped to you, and you can order it at eleven at night without speaking to anybody.
Questions before you order, or something bigger in mind? Email Derek at clientcare@carderoclothing.com and he will answer you himself, or use the chat in the corner of this page and we will get back to you within a day.
Common questions.
Can I get a custom suit without being measured in person?
Yes. You measure yourself at home using our form and send two photos. Derek and our team check your numbers against those photos before anything is cut, and if something is wildly off we catch it and come back to you first. Nothing goes to production unchecked. Your 21 measurements are then kept permanently on file, so you never measure again.
How do I measure myself for a custom suit?
You fill in our measurement form, which walks you through each measurement one at a time, then send two photos. The photos are what let us catch a number that does not look right. If anything disagrees, we contact you before your garment is made, not after it arrives.
What happens if it does not fit?
We fix it. Alterations are covered at our cost and handled by a tailor local to you. If a garment cannot be altered, we remake it. Your measurements are updated on file after every adjustment, so the next garment is closer than the last. See our remakes and alterations policy.
What if I order more than one suit?
We rush out the first suit and one dress shirt ahead of the rest, so your measurements are confirmed on a real garment before the rest are made. It is the same approach we use in the studio for multi-suit orders, and it means a change is caught on one garment rather than four.
Do you ship custom suits to the United States?
Yes. We ship across Canada and the United States, and duty, customs and shipping are all covered by us. The price you see is the price you pay, with no bill at the door.
What is the Wardrobe Plan?
A paid one-to-one session with Derek, for the man who is not sure what he needs. You get a written plan you keep: your colour palette, the gaps in what you own, and a 12-month build order with the reasoning behind each step. It is yours whether or not you ever order a garment.
How much does a custom suit cost?
A Cardero suit starts at $899 CAD in a wool blend, $1,299 in Super 120 wool, and $1,699 in Super 150, each built to your 21 measurements. Shipping, duty and any alterations are included, and nobody works on commission. Price your exact build on our pricing page.
How long does it take?
Production is five to six weeks from your order. Plan around the date you need it rather than the production window, and come to us early if the date is fixed. A reorder takes seconds to place, since your cloth and measurements stay on file, and it still takes five to six weeks to make.
Do I have to take a call to order?
No. Anything in our shop can be bought directly with no call at all. The Wardrobe Plan is for men who want to be told what to buy and in what order. If you just have a question, email Derek and he will answer it himself.
Is this bespoke or made to measure?
Made to measure. A bespoke suit is cut from a pattern drafted from scratch for one man, usually over several in-person fittings. Made to measure builds your garment from 21 of your own measurements against a proven block, which is what lets us do it accurately at a distance and at a fraction of the cost.
Let us build the plan first.
You do not have to know what you need. That is the point of the session, and it is what most men get the most out of.
