The tawny port (maroon) suit was our most popular for 2018 and 2019. We strongly recommend adding this suit to your wardrobe but at the very least we suggest you add the dress shirt, vest or tie.
Let's re-emphasize this point, have a maroon garment in your wardrobe whether it is the suit or accessories. Pair it with the essential white dress shirt and pocket square to keep it completely classy.
Keeping with the clean look, how about this? White dress shirt, neutral patterned pocket square and even white shoes. I don't believe you will find a cleaner or classier look than this, it allows the maroon to pop with nothing competing against it.
Whenever a client buys the maroon suit from us we recommend they wear it with neutral colours. Even this white & black patterned shirt with the black bow tie and black pocket square allows the suit to be the focal point with nothing competing against it.
If you are looking to add in colour we suggest starting with navy blue. The two colours work so well together as seen here in the pants, dress shirt and pocket square. The maroon tie keeps the look tied together. (No pun intended)
Most of the outfits we have seen bring in maroon into other pieces of the clothing besides the suit, this one included. The pattern on the white shirt is maroon and neutral gray. Like we mentioned above neutral colours allow the maroon to stand out. The white pocket square and gray tie allow the suit jacket to stand out.
