About 10 years ago I worked in TV & Film, although a short stint, it forever changed the way I watch TV or movies. I know where there is an edit, why people are positioned a certain way or that the headrests in the car are missing. It's the same way with fashion for me now, there are a lot of men still making minor mistakes that can ruin their whole look.
The Bottom Button
The Business world is full of competition. For those competing with other agencies or companies for clients, how about co-workers competing with their colleagues for that promotion or for those competing with other job seekers. We spend hours tweaking our LinkedIn profile or crafting e-mails to try and make ourselves look desirable or credible to whomever we are trying to impress. This helps us get their attention but then we get to the interview or a meeting with the prospective client and they see someone who's physical image doesn't match up to the image they perceived online.
This is one area I can absolutely speak from experience. Cardero Clothing started a few months after I was married when I realized my rental suit for my wedding:
A.) Didn't fit properly at all
B.) Was terrible quality
C.) Had to be returned the day after my wedding
It was from there that I studied Men's formal wear to help others from making the same mistakes. Here are a few of the things I learned along the way to stop you from making the same mistakes.
A three piece suit is always associated with being really well dressed and classy. However, many people make mistakes with their waistcoats (also known as vests which refers to a more casual look) that can ruin the whole look.
I am a huge football fan, from College to NFL, I follow a lot of these players through their careers. I am a die hard Niners fan but I follow a lot of players and cheer for them any chance I get.
Titans for Marcus Mariota out of Oregon (My College Team)
Bucs for Jameis Winston out of the Florida State Seminoles
Cam Newton after his Bowl game at Auburn against Oregon
For me the NFL Draft is just another chance to follow these guys in their careers and see where they place. Some you are really excited to see go to teams you like others, Jabrill Peppers, TJ Watt, go to a team you are not a fan of. Sorry Cleveland and Pittsburgh. While I watch the draft I am always taking note of what these guys are wearing. This year I decided to follow that up with a list of my favorites.
